In the foreground is a blurred image of a Chinese storm trooper. This was captured during the ‘umbrella’ protests. The handcuffed girl to the right has a police officer in riot gear looking straight at her with the visage of a reptilian rat. Behind her is another handcuffed female protester, hardly visible in retreat. The blurred flesh of the neck in the foreground is subliminally a prenatal ultrasound image representing all of us before we take our paths in life, here the lilac line weaving its way into the crowd.
